Auditions for Arsenic and Old Lace will be fairly straight-forward.
This is a non-musical show, no singing will be required. Short
scenes will be taken from the play, and people will audition
directly from the script. There is no need to prepare a monolog!
The play is set for 3 females and 8 male characters. Some females
may be asked to play the part of a male; likewise, some actors
may be asked to play multiple roles.
This is a fun play and people on past productions have
had a lot of fun working on the plays. If you have never acted
before but would like to try, this is the play, and the company,
to do it with! We are also looking for crew members!
The only requirements are that you be 17 or older, and that you
must reside or be employed in New Boston or one of the neighboring
towns. By that, we mean a town which borders New Boston. This
does include the Pinardville area.
Most rehearsals will be on Thursday or Friday evenings, or Saturday
mornings. We realize everyone has busy schedules, if you can bring
a copy of your schedule to the auditions, we will try to design
rehearsal schedules around schedules to avoid conflicts.
